Unwanted Hair Removal

Unwanted hair is defined as any excess body hair that causes you cosmetic concern. Typical places we loathe to find unruly hairs is on the upper lip, cheeks, chin and neck (for women), on the back, chest, underarms, fingers, abdomen, legs and feet. In North America, where being hairy equates to being undesirable, we celebrate smoothness - sometimes even where men are concerned.

Unwanted hair grows because of many underlying factors - such as genetics or as a result of taking some medications which may affect the hormones. For example, taking steroids is known to cause excess hair growth.

There are many ways to remove unwanted hair from the body - such as bleaching, shaving, waxing, electrolysis and laser treatment. Permanent hair removal banishes unwanted hair for long-lasting results with the help of professionals. However, it can be at painful and rather costly measures. The alternative, temporary hair removal is much cheaper and you can remove your unwanted hair at home for much less money. However, because your hair removal isn't being performed by a professional aesthetician, this method can cause ingrown hairs and skin irritations.

Sugaring is a method first used in ancient Egypt. By combining honey, lemon and sugar you can create your own mixture. It is used in a similar way to waxing.

I thought it's a problem in my part of the world, but i guess it's everyone's problem.. Well, my way of taking of the unwanted hair is by using something full of sugar. It's better than waxing in term of that the hair won't grow for about a month. bleeching .. i hate it.. it's a nightmare.. It makes the hair grow even longer and I'm suffering from such a problem. The sugary treatment is better but it's painful.. more than waxing.. but the result is better.. if you want to know more about this treatment that arabs, indians use to get rid of unwanted hair. you can send me an email 'sakura_dubai@yahoo.com'

Stop shaving it and start plucking or waxing it. I had this same problem and I plucked it for years and now it is pratically gone for good. Over time I think it eventually kills the hair folical.

Hi, I have a problem with unwanted hair pretty much all over. The worst part, is I have a very hairy stomach. I realized this as a young teenager and tried to shave it with a razor. Over time, this just became habit, and now the hair is darker and seems to be all over. I want to get rid of it, but I dont know if I can continue to shave it, or wax it, or if there is semething else I can do to get rid of it..please help me. It's something that makes me dread swimsuit season....thanks. Please feel free to Email me at flowers_87@hotmail.com
