
Sunscreen
Sunscreens have a slightly different purpose compared to sunblocks. Sunblocks act as a shelter to reflect the ultraviolet rays; where as sunscreens work by filtering, absorbing or scattering the sun's UV rays.
Sunscreens come in a variety forms - such as creams, gels, lotions, sprays, ointments and wax sticks. Sunscreens are available in SPF protection ranging from 2 to 60. A sunscreen's SPF designation is evident on the label. Using sunscreen on a regular basis (especially in summer months) will keep your skin healthy while helping you look your best.

Apply sunscreen at least 15 minutes before you're exposed directly to the sun. It needs to be reapplied as often as every two hours, and right after swimming or heavy sweaty. Sunscreen isn't recommended for babies under six months of age, however, sunscreens provides vital sun protection for everyone else. In recent years, hypoallergenic sunscreens and water resistant sunscreens have been developed to protect sensitive skin, children and teenagers. Remember, if you want to apply sunscreen on daily basis, apply it before your makeup and moisturizer.
