In addition to sunscreen, sun worshipers can keep their face and eyes shaded from the threat of wrinkles and dryness with a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses.

The summer sun can dry skin out in a matter of minutes when it's left exposed to harmful UV rays. Too much sun damage will cause a painful sunburn, while continual exposure can result in serious skin problems like skin cancer. Water-resistant sunscreen provides excellent protection for swimmers, surfers, fisherman, sailors or those involved in any summer sports.

Note: Chlorinated and salt water further dries out skin and should be rinsed off immediately after swimming.

Don't forget to protect your lips with aloe vera balm, drink lots of water and take vitamin C to provide your body with hydration and nutrients. Your best summer skin care routine is to exfoliate the face once or twice a week to allow your pores to breathe freely. Be aware that air conditioning dries the skin out as well. Therefore, a light moisturizer is needed to maintain skin hydration if you spend a lot of time indoors.
