Skin Care for Children
Every child's skin is extremely soft and delicate. Baby's skin is even more tender and sensitive. It can be easily irritated if mild or hypoallergenic skin care products aren't used. Bathing is a bonding ritual between parent and newborn, but it's also necessary to keep baby's skin clean and moisturized.
There is no need to bathe your baby every day. Two or three times per week should be adequate. In the bath, massage baby's skin with a soft sponge and always use a pure cleanser. Afterwards, wrap baby in a thick towel to make bath time more enjoyable. Once your child is dry, apply a mild dusting of powder, one that doesn't contain synthetic colors, fragrances or preservatives. This will protect your baby's skin from chaffing.
