Hives
Hives, known in the medical community as urticaria (pronounced as "ur-tuh-kar-ee-uh"), commonly occur due to an allergic reaction to certain foods - such as milk, shellfish, berries and nuts; a medication - such as antibiotics; or because of sudden exposure to cold or heat.
Hives appear in pink or red raised patches on the skin's surface. Sometimes they resemble a cluster of mosquito bites. When a person is exposed to something that triggers hives, histamine and other substances are released by the body's cells. This causes fluid to seep out from tiny blood vessels underneath the skin. As a result, fluid gathers and forms blemishes, or hives. For best results, use treatment products that contain Vitamin C.

Hi my name is Irene L. Hicks
I wen to an Alergy clinic and have been diagnosed being alergic to dust mites. But it trigges the same symptoms as hives. Please recommend a facial cleanser that I could use to clear this.

Two days ago I went kayaking in a fresh-water river with my husbandThe river was very low, and.on several occasions, we had to carry our boats over trees that had fallen across the river. The next day, I broke out with what looks like multiple mosquito bites and I cannot sleep through the night. I have been taking Benadryl, which reliieves the itchiness, but am wondering what could have caused the hives. I also have a very white blood count, which is normal for me, due to the medications that I am taking. Any suggestions as to what may have caused the hives? Thank you!
