Egg White Mask and Facial Recipes

Who doesn't have eggs in their refrigerator? Egg is not only the most common ingredient in baked goods it's also the most common breakfast food around the world. In addition to eating, whites have become the most convenient and inexpensive do-it-yourself skin care treatment.

Egg white is scientifically known as albumen or ovalbumin. It accounts for more than 60 percent of the total weight of an egg and contains almost zero cholesterol and fat. You can easily separate egg whites from their yolks by cracking cold eggs and shifting the yolk back and forth in the shell halves a few times.

My husband has used egg white facials for 18 years and his skin looks great. He's the only man I've ever known that likes facials!

I have tried many treatments for the face, and have heard of this one before but only tried it for the first time. (It's currently on my face). lol. I saved it after making a hair recipe involving egg yolk. So, this is what you can do with the extras. My hair recipe was half of one small avacado, a tsp of olive oil and then the whole egg yolk. For best results put everything into your food processor preferably, or blender, vs. using a whisk. The mixture will be a pale green creamy (lump free) delight for your hair. I use a silicon bbq brush to spread it all over. Leave your hair in a clip for as long as you want, then wash out well with shampoo/cond. If you have extra, as I did. I sat on the edge of the tub and put is all over my feet and waited 10 mins-they were SO soft!

Oh the good white egg facial my grandma used to do it (R.I.P)even at age 75 and her face look like a baby's bum, even youthful and no marks. This treatment has been in our family

I used to do this, I had forgotten about it. It really tightens the skin and makes it feel fresh. Lemon juice works good in it.

For an added effect, and to help with the smell a bit....try squeezing lemon juice in with the egg white!
