Skin Lightening
Skin lightening products are popularly known as bleaching creams. They are usually applied on the face by those who have chloasma or melasma (also called "pregnancy mask"). Chloasma and melasma are the brown spots around the cheeks, eyes and above the lips. The main factors which cause these dark pigments on your face are sun damages and hormone changes.
Unlike a sun burns, spots caused by chloasma or melasma are hard to get rid of. They discolor the face and cause drastic unevenness to your skin tone.

"Skin Lightening Products containing more than 2% of hydroquinone" are not illegal in the US and have never been proven to "damage the skin permanently". These comments have no basis in fact and are quite untrue. There are many 4% prescription hydroquinones on the market. The AAD recently reported on the safety of hydroquinones in the face of the FDAs proposed ban, which is unlikely to be implemented. Hydroquinone is still very effective. There are other skin lighteners for use at home such as ergothionine, kojic acid, and, in some products, sepiwhite.
Get the facts straight.

Do this skin lightning product work for damaged pigmentation of the lips from a x smoker. My bottom lip is darker in diffrent areas, then is lighter in other areas. My lip is the only effected area. I just want my whole bottom lip to be toned the same color pink.
