RoC Skin Care

RoCRoC is a France-based skin care leader. It was founded in 1957 by a pharmacist named Jean-Charles Lissarrague. RoC began manufacturing its first hypoallergenic skin care products with the help of dermatologists. In recent decades, RoC discovered Retinol; a pure and stabilized form of vitamin A. This led to the development of Retinol Actif Pur.

The RoC product line includes anti-wrinkle moisturizing creams and lotions, lift & firm moisturizers, anti-aging cleansers and multi-benefit moisturizers. In addition to the age-defying properties of retinol, RoC also uses soy as one of the major ingredients in its products. Soy is also renowned for its anti-aging properties.

I have been using Roc for about three weeks now and I love it!!! My skin looks and feels tighter, brighter, and smoother. I have also noticed that the wrinkels are less noticable. J Martella, Las Cruces NM

Where can I buy the Renewex replacement cream with aluminium oxide micro crystals including the soft sponge head. I purchased all of this at Shoppers Drug Mart in Mississauga and now I cannot find the replacement cream. Very frustrasting!

I have still an eyepencil från ROC, and I just wonder if you sell cosmetica in France / Paris ????? In Sweden they don´t sell it any longer, only Skincare-products. It is the most wonderful pencil, so I have a workingfriend who also would be interested to buy if you still procuce cosmetica. Please answer my mail, Kerstin Gustafson

I am very disappointed about the animal testing too. I am sure that a few years ago I was told - in fact I had the idea it was even on the packaging - that Roc did not test on animals. As people say below, cosmetic testing is not a necessity and should be banned. I like the products and I've just bought two creams but shall not do so again. JMC, London

Animal testing is necessary in medicine development. For those who care for animal so much, please care for human beings living poorly in Africa first!!
Posted on 7/7/2009 10:05:00 PM by Anonymous
Animal testing is inhumane. How do you live with yourselves? I would rather use products that are not tested on animals. And there are many!! It can be done. You people make me and others sick...

I read someplace that Roc cosmetics are not good and don't really work? Anybody know anything about that. i have had good luck.

In what shops and/or pharmacies I can find the ROC AGE DIMINISHING MOISTURIZER SPF 15 SOY COMPLEX ( or without soy complex)in the Montreal downtown?

To K. McGrath. Having just read your comments, I am surprised that a teacher would be so ignorant. I am shocked that you are comparing a mascara to medicine? Many people here are objecting to animals testing in the name of vanity, not for life saving purposes. I suggest that YOU consider your opinions before stating them, as you’ve been left looking foolish and if my children went to your school I would ensure you did not pass on your ignorant, ill founded idiotic opinions on to them. Bad teacher.

To all who posted about animal testing, with all due respect, I think your comments are naive and uninformed. As a biology teacher and someone who cares about all living organisms, I would like to ask you, How on earth do you think scientists who develop products for human use could possibly know what types of reactions or effects might occur on humans without testing them on a living organism? Yes it is unfortunate that some lab rats must be sacrificed to find out that an ingredient in mascara could blind a human user, but what is the alternative?? I'm really tired of hearing all your ignorant, righteous comments!! Lets put this on a more relevant level: Do you use aspirin, toothpaste, anitperspirant, or have you ever been treated for an infection?? If so, you probably used a life-saving or necessary product that was tested on animals before it could be approved by the USDA. Lets get real, and get your priorities straight!! K.McGrath

I loved Roc and used all of their products. I love animals more. I did not know that any company would still be doing animal testing in the 21st century. I am throwing away all of my RoC products and urge retailers to stop selling RoC.

I am a 58 year old grandmother, and have been using RoC Deep Wrinkle Cream for years. It not only began removing deep wrinkles, age spots, but I was extremely surprised when some skin tags I had disappeared. I know it isn't advertised to do that, but I was happier about that benefit than any other. I use it religiously, and it has been a miracle. I know people like to compliment others, but I was in a store one day and a young girl was shocked after hearing me tell someone I was 58. She went and got 3 employees and brought them over to look at me. I turned and asked "what's up" and they said are you really 58. "Yup". One of the young men said, "you look like you are in your early 40's". If you are looking for any of the same benefits, try this product.

I stopped using J&J products years ago when I found out about the animal testing. I googled ROC today (before buying) and from now on I'll know not to use ROC's products too.

I am upset. I heard good things about RoC and I just bought two creams, but I will not purchase anything anymore after knowing that they test on animals. I knew that Johnson and Johnson did, but I didn't know they were associated.
Posted on 10/8/2008 3:06:00 AM by Anonymous
I have been using Roc for a while, only because I was told Roc does not engage in animal testing. Knowing that this in fact is not true I will discontinue use of these products immediately. If there companies producing animal friendly products, there is no reason why the manufacturers of Roc can't do the same. That is the same reason why i do not use any Johnson & Johnson products. What a great disappointment!! L van Zyl

I do not support animal testing. I would much rather never use a single skin care product again than to support such a primitive and selfish approach to beauty.
Posted on 9/7/2008 6:04:00 AM by Anonymous
Oh dear I just bought my first product from your company and I will use it, but won't be able to continue purchasing anymore because of the animal testing, there has to be alternative means for a kinder approach to other living creatures, my beauty isn't that important that I can't find a more environmentally friendly product.

I am at the age where I need to start using cremes to decrease wrinkles. I was considering using Roc products but when I found out that you test on animald, I definately will not even consider them. PLEASE gop cruelty free. Many companiies do. Many of ny friends who are animal lovers feel the same way I do. I am spreading the word about Roc.

Well, well... for those "activists" out there proclaiming they won't use particular brands due to 'barbaric animal testing', you probably use more than you dare to realize. I commend J&J for being up front, at least. As a Certified Cosmetics Representative, I have to know brands, products, ingredients, pros, cons, and results; good and bad... and I can tell you, there are many manufacturers out there proclaiming that they don't test on animals and\or that their product is organic when this isn't completely true. However, because of certain guidelines they follow, they're allowed to advertise this. If you really want something to attack a company about, how about this: bet you didn't know that almost every long-wearing lipstick formula produced contains a trace amount of lead, did you? Because the lead is so minimal, it does not have to be listed as an ingredient.
Posted on 4/10/2008 9:36:00 PM by Anonymous
Please stop animal testing! It barbaric, archaic and unnessary. Be a real leader and become cruelty free. I will not buy your products!

Hi! RoC. Do you have any free samples? If so , Can you please mail me a couple of them ? My address is 110 Front St., E. Whitby,Ontario, Canada L1N1A1. Thank-you very much, take care and good-bye. From Wendy Kervanka.

Just found out that you test on animals..I will be more careful what products I buy from now on and your is not one of them and I am also reading ingredients on the backs of every line I buy. You need to stop testing on animals. Iknow no one who would agree with that if they knew.

i recently tried RENEWEX with the demabrasion applicator ,and honestly after the first use there was a differance . I am amazed I am 36 and have had stubborn white and blckheads around my chin area and I usually stuggle to remove them but after the use with RENEWEX I was able to extract them like nothing, My skin was visible tighter and more uniform., I would deffinatly suggest this product the applicator cost about $30 and the microderm abrasion creme was 36$ worth every penny if you ask me.

I had received, in the mail, a sample of your RoC Melibiose Active Firming Treatment. I have been to several different stores and can't find it. Could you please tell me where I might get this product, as I thought it was great!!!!
Posted on 11/6/2007 2:34:00 PM by Anonymous
I LOVE IT !!! I love to see there are numerous animal lovers out there !!! J&J and ROC should be using some of their wealth to find some better testing methods. HUMAN guina pigs are everywhere. Innocent animals should not be forced to suffer. I will find other natural products to save my skin and not give you another cent. Rosie B (Calif)
Posted on 11/2/2007 6:40:00 PM by Anonymous
Was surfing the web for an eye cream. Animal testing is a big turnoff. Will not buy from you. Find a DIFFERENT way. You claim to stop wrinkles but you can't develop a KINDER way to test them? You're not as advanced as you thought.
Posted on 10/28/2007 12:06:00 AM by Anonymous
I was very interested in your ROC products, but since learning that this company is still carrying out the archaic practice of testing on animals, I will ensure my shelves are clear of Johnson & Johnson products. Companies that still test this way today are frugal, lazy and are not up to date with technology - so why would I trust my skin to you?
Posted on 10/26/2007 9:10:00 AM by Anonymous
I love your products. Have used them for years, BUT I have a big problem with the containers. The pump caps always seem to break and I spend the rest of the time banging the top of the container on the palm of my hand until the bottle is empty.
Posted on 10/15/2007 11:16:00 PM by Anonymous
How do I get on the mailing list for samples and coupons for ROC products.
Posted on 10/12/2007 3:57:00 PM by Anonymous
ok, it is anyone's personal choice to boycott whatever they like but did you know that the US cosmetics companies use toxic ingredients in their cosmetics because they have no laws against it like in Europe? YOU ARE the animal they are testing it on. Look up this information on the internet and you will learn something.

Hello Canadian RoC brand team - Do any reps in the Vancouver area have any RoC Soya Unify? I would love to purchase them from you! Will the company consider bringing it back?
Posted on 10/10/2007 1:25:00 AM by Anonymous
Is there anywhere I can still get RoC Soya Unify? I tried the retinol stuff but didn't like it. Th esoya ubify really worked on the brown age spots on my face.

Sorry about discontinuing the soya unify line, it was no longer produced at the plant in Europe. You can try Retinol Multi Correxion, it also has an impact on age spots. Canadian RoC Brand team

I was set to try some of your products, but because you still test on animals, it is now out of the question.
Posted on 9/23/2007 9:50:00 PM by Anonymous
I have been doing quite of bit of research on which skincare line to use. I finally decided to us Roc but now that I have found that you use animal testing I will not buy any Roc products and will be sure and get the word out to as many people as I can about this situation!
Posted on 9/13/2007 1:13:00 PM by Anonymous
No winner has been posted on the ROC Paris for Life contest web-site. Was there a winner declared?
Posted on 8/23/2007 11:42:00 AM by Anonymous
I have always wanted to try your product; fortunately for me, before I purchased it I came to this website and saw that you tested on animals, therefore, I will never purchase this product unless you change your testing procedures policy. What a waste!
Posted on 8/22/2007 8:26:00 PM by Anonymous
after reading an earlier comment, I too went to find a RoC product I used to reduce the look of the "mask of pregancy" marks on my face only to find it had been discontinued. Why would they discontinue such a good product and is there anything else that would obtain the same results. w
Posted on 8/22/2007 10:39:00 AM by Anonymous
I WAS planning on buying your products, but now that I have read that you "utilize animal testing to scientifically develop good skin care products", I cannot in good conscience support your business! In this day and age it seems that you are behind the times on scientific testing that is now available WITHOUT maiming and killing animals. Sorry, but my skin will have to live without RoC!!!!
Posted on 8/15/2007 11:28:00 PM by Anonymous
I am a RoC soya Unify user. I went to Shoppers Drug Mart today to get a new bottle but apparently it has been discontinued. It worked beautifully at decreasing the visibility of my age spots. Even my husband had noticed the results of me using this cream. Is it being sold anywhere? I am now reluctantly using a different product from the Vichy line which claims to do the same. Doris
Posted on 8/15/2007 12:52:00 PM by Anonymous
I CANNOT believe you still test on animals. Now that I know that I will never buy your products again and will tell as many people as I can that you still engage in this barbaric practice.
