Aveda Skin Care

Aveda (pronounced "ah-vay-da") is one of the best-selling skin care brands in the world. The company was founded in 1978 by Horst M. Rechelbacher. Originally from Austria, Rechelbacher first began working at a salon in Minneapolis in the mid-1960s when he was just 14 years old.

Later in life Rechelbacher became an avid environmentalist and incorporated his love of the environment into Aveda's organic hair care products. All Aveda products contain only natural plants and flower essences combined with aromatherapy. And none of Aveda's products are tested on animals.
