Skin Rash

When skin gets red or inflamed we call it a skin rash. A reoccurring skin rash is also commonly referred to a condition known as dermatitis.

A rash doesn't necessarily have to be itchy. However, it can change your skin's color and texture. Skin rashes can take on a variety of appearances - depending on their appearance they are referred to as blistering, macular, nodular, papular and pustular types of rashes.

The causes of skin rashes are very much a mystery, but in general eczema, psoriasis, insect bites, reactions to certain medications and childhood illnesses such as chicken pox or scarlet fever can cause a skin rash.
