Diaper Rash
Diaper rash sure gives babies something to scream about!
Diaper rash is the most common skin disorder for new born babies. It occurs in light red patches and spots and can occur wherever a diaper touches a baby's skin. Nearly all diaper rashes are caused by skin irritations, such as when a diaper is too tight, left on for too long or by increased urinary wetness.
In addition to a simple rash, swollen skin, red pimples, blisters or other sores can be caused by diaper irritation as well. Due to the different infections that cause it, there are several types of diaper rash - such as contact diaper rash, yeast rash, intertrigo, impetigo, and seborrhea and allergy ring.

It's also wise to sample different brands of diapers on your baby to find the most suitable one. There are also shelves of baby skin care products available - baby powders keep baby dry; while baby body lotions with aloe vera, milk, vitamin C or E help soothe diaper rash and re-hydrate baby's soft skin.
