Dark Circles

It's frustrating to wake up in the morning and look into the mirror only to find a raccoon staring back at you! Dark circles, also called raccoon's eyes and bags under the eyes are blue or dark purple blemishes that shadow the eye area. Dark circles are one of the biggest cosmetic complaints among women and thousands of cosmetics companies cash in on products that battle this very blemish.

Because the skin around the eyes is the thinnest skin on our bodies, the veins and capillaries show through skin and the natural shadows are visible. This shadow effect makes you look extremely exhausted and years older than you're actual age. To remove dark circles, try using concealers, powders or skin care products that contain Vitamin K.

"I am 16 and have had dark circles under y for as long as I can remember." I have the same problem. I am 15 and eat enough fruits and veggies and get good amounts of sleep and I've tried every makeup including going t getting it done and really expensive ones to really cheap ones. No matter how much i put on i cannot hide these things. i'm also embarrassed to not wear makeup in front of my friends and i wear glasses only b/c they hide my dark circles, that is the only reason i like wearing them. i dont even like swimming anymore b/c im so embarrassed about my dark circles.

I am 16 and have had dark circles under y for as long as I can remember. My mom insists on telling me I don't have a problem but everyone notices them. When I cover them up with my fingers I can see what my face would look like without the hideous circles and I look great! They're not just a minor blemish, they ruin the look of your whole face by making you look tired, sick, and old. I have tried everything in the book, NOTHING has worked. I always cover them up with makeup, but all the makeup in the world can't hide them. Also I'm embarassed to not wear makeup even in front of my closest friends because I look so creepy and old. Maybe there's some surgery out there hat could help some of us?? All I know is I don't want to live my whole life with these! hey really put a dent in my confidence. =/

a natural way to lighten the look of dark cicles is to put cucumber slices over your dark circle for 15-20 min. this should lighten them up a bit since cucumber is very moisturising. also remember to wask your face after to get rid of the stickyness.

Go ahead and use a vaporizer/humidifier on your face. It will raise your skin and plump it out, so your eyes aren't so sunken looking.

I am 27years old and my dark cicles only seem to be getting worse with age. For those in their teens, please use sunscreen! Believe me, it will help. Other tips: moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! Also be sure to stay hydrated and buy a good concealer!

I am 15 and have dark circles under my eyes. I have tried a few things to help, but nothing has made a significant change. I am thinking that a dermatologist might be the best person for help.

I am 25 years old and I have had problems with dark circles since I was probably in 5th grade. I've tried a lot of things, but the best advice I have found is to cut back on caffeine, get enough sleep, and drink a lot of water. All of your skin, your whole body will feel better if you stick to these things. A multivitamin never hurts, and if you have any allergy symptoms, take some generic Claritin (as long as it's ok with your doctor, of course.) And recently I tried a combination of things that seems to work pretty well to treat the dark circles. Clinique makes this stuff called "Moisture Surge Extra thirsty skin relief." Gently pat this on before you go to bed, let it dry. Then use Dr. Wexler under-eye brightening cream over the top of it. (You can find it at Bath & Body Works.) Let that dry. Finally use Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream over it all. Follow with 8 hours of sleep. None of these things seem to work by themselves for me, it is something about the combination, but I see a difference after just one night when I use all three. I can actually hide what's left under concealer. No amount of concealer used to hide them, and now I can actually hide them if I take the time to use makeup.

I am 15 and I have really dark circles under my eyes. I use concealer, but when I'm in a big rush, I don't put it on and it looks really bad. I don't get much sleep, except on weekends, but then they seem to get worse with the more sleep I get. Is there anything other than creams and concealer to get rid of them? I don't want to cover them up for the rest of my life.

I have had dark circles all my life. There is no cream you can buy that will get rid of these dark circles. I have spent alot of money over the years, as soon as a new cream came on the market that said it targeted this problem I ran to the store to get it. Cover fx seems to be the best makeup I can find to help conceal my under eye circles.

I have had dark circles for the past several years. I'm 22 and a mother of a 2 year old and pregnant with my second. Restless nights, stress, and allergies seem to be my main problem. Also my skin is very fair in color, so the rings tend to show through more. It can be hard to deal with, but try a product with vitiamin e, sometimes it works realy well.
